degobah 0 Posted June 19, 2019 My old computer was having issues, so i had to upgrade it. I downloaded Pod Farm 2 which I had licensed before, but this only has a very small amp model set. On my old PC, I could have swore I had Pod Farm 2 licensed... and without having to plug in my Pod X3. Can Pod Farm 2 run without my hardware plugged into my PC? I use a different audio device, and would rather not have to plug in (and turn on) my X3 every time I want to use my DAW. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Triryche 2,610 Posted June 19, 2019 The PF2 that comes with the POD X3 is a hardware enabled license. You would need to purchase a PF2 license if you want to use it without the hardware. Also, the X3 contains all the models packs. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Triryche 2,610 Posted June 20, 2019 You're welcome. Just for clarification, another Line6 expert reminded me that the X3 will definitely have a PF1 hardware enabled license. But there may have been a promo with Line6 offering PF2 towards the end of the X3 product life cycle. But if you are pretty sure you were able to run the VST without the X3 it may be you do have a PF2 upgraded license.
