Variax and Helix snapshot

I use a Variax Standard  plugged in a Helix LT.

I can't manage to change guitar model using the snapshots within the same preset. Apparently the guitar mode cannot be associated to a snapshot.

Does someone know something about this issue?

First thing ; you have to use a vdi cable : the 1/4" doesn't send messages.

Then, select your preset,  go on the input block (i assume you already know that).

Go on the snapshot you wanna work on, push and turn at the same time on to the variax model you want, it appears in white into brackets like other items you change per preset.

Change the snapshot and modify your guitar modeling, save your preset....

I'm usung a VDI cable of course. Unfortunately  the last model selected remains the same for every snapshot. Apparently there is only one model allowed per preset. But maybe be i''m doing something wrong.

You should be able to set different models to snapshots. I do it all the time... you assign the Variax model to a snapshot the same way you would any other amp or effect parameter. Make sure the white brackets appear around the Variax model, either in HX Edit or on the Helix itself. However, if you have snapshots set to "recall", and you manually change the model from the guitar, then that's the model the selected snapshot will remember... perhaps that's what is screwing you up. You can turn the "recall" function off in global settings if you want.
