Dimensions Of The Jtv-89n

Recommended Posts

Hello,

Can anyone tell me what the dimensions of the JTV-89 neck is? What other guitar has a common neck like the 89? I heard that Jackson guitars are similar, is this true? And is a jumbo fretted guitar better than a medium-fretted guitar?

Thank you very much for any and all help that you can give me,

Chris

Yes the 89 neck definitely reminds me of my Jackson's neck profile.  Half way down the page in link below there are examples of different neck profile's.  The 89 neck profile is 16".

As for jumbo frets, they are suppose to make it easier to bend and do vibratos on. Also, if your frets are taller, then there's less resistance distance you have to push your string down, this is so you can play faster.
