GML372
Hello, I have the spider v 240 amp, i have never bought a effects pedal. In conclusion, will it be better to buy a separate effects pedal? thanks please help
stonelx
The spider V has all the effects built-in already, perhaps look at an FBV board to control the effects.
gtrman100
What different effect are you wanting? The Spider has more than 200 effects- 78 amp models, distortions, overdrives, EQ's, compressors, delays, reverbs, modulation effects, etc. built in. As Stonefx said, you might want to get one of the available floorboard controllers to access the effects like a regular effects pedal. The whole idea of the Spider series is to have an all in one solution to finding the amp tone, and the added effects to create your guitar sound. Hankon6
I did not think that Spider V 's had effects loop for plugging in pedals!

logicbdj
From my perspective... if there is a distortion that you like (for example) that is not covered with the Spider, then you buy the distortion. Same with any modulation, delay, etc. I have an Ocean Machine Reverb + Delay + Delay. It can do things the Spider never could... but do you want or NEED what the Ocean Machine does? If so, then buy, if not, then don't.
