levpod
I just got an HX Stomp. I don’t know anything about using it yet. Is it a good idea to buy some IR’s, or just try to dial-in tones on my own?
Kilrahi
It's a good idea to try the stock IRs first before you decide they're garbage. I own a closetful of IRs. I almost never touch them. Some people swear they're the bee's knees. If you have money to burn, buy some of the big names and see if you fall in love. However, with the Stomp, if you can get by with just the stock cabs it will always be a plus because of the 6 block limitation.
guitarboy_02451
Get to know the unit first before going crazy buying stuff. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Kevin-M
Try the stock cabs first. The Stomp is a great product that just requires a touch of planning ahead of time. Don’t forget to take advantage of the Helix Native plug-in discount available as well
