Pod HD Pro X / Saving Model Packs

Recommended Posts

I bought a used Pod HD Pro X through Guitar Center that has the Metal pack installed.

If I want to reset my Pod will I lose the Metal pack?

How do I save the Metal pack on my PC?

Thanks.

If when you bought the device the license to use the Metal pack has not be transferred by the previous owner to your line6 account you will lose the pack only if you run the license manager with the POD connected to the computer.

The model packs are built in the last firmware, you can not save them separately anywhere.

Every POD with the last firmware installed has all the model packs already parked into the device, but only those who bought the licenses can see and use them.

However the only way for Line6 to check if you are the owner of the licenses is when you run the license manager.

If you reset your device the already authorized model packs will still be visible and usable when done, just don't run the license manager if you don't own the license.
