Turning the Helix LT on and off a lot

No, there's no standby... but regardless, the overwhelming likelihood is that your Helix will become obsolete long before it stops functioning, no matter what you do to it. And it's entirely possible that it'll outlive you...I have a Marshall 25th Anniversary Silver Jubilee head that is now 32+ years old, which still turns on when I flick the switch. Don't worry about it.

What cruisinon2 said.

To get a tiny bit more technical, the most wear and tear to a solid state device occurs at the ON/OFF switch, expression pedal, knobs and I/O sockets/jacks.

IOW, the mechanical parts.

The electronic components themselves undergo microscopic expansion when they warm up, and the reverse when they cool down.

So, if you plan on still using the device 1000 years from now, you might be better off turning it on in the morning and off at night.
