RD1967
Noob question. I have an acoustic that has a 1/4" standard input and an XLR input. The 1/4" has a short in it. Am I able to use the XLR into the Helix? Is there anything special I need to do to set it up this way? Thank you.
rd2rk
You can try connecting the acoustic's XLR OUTPUT to the MIC input. Set the Input Block to MIC. You may have to adjust the MIC GAIN in GLOBAL SETTINGS/INS/OUTS. You may find that even with the MIC GAIN set to 0db the signal is too hot. Dunno, try it. RD1967
I was thinking of buying an XLR to 1/4" adapter. That should work, correct?
rd2rk
Just now, RD1967 said: I was thinking of buying an XLR to 1/4" adapter. That should work, correct? Maybe. It's all about signal levels. You may have to try both settings of the Input Pad in Global settings. Try the MIC Input before you spend money on an adapter.
