peterayamond
Probably a bit specialised but... Background I use HX edit with Helix on 2.82 by sending the USB data over a local area network using VirtualHere ( which in their words allows "USB devices to be used remotely over a network just as if they were locally connected" https://www.virtualhere.com/). I use Windows 10 as the client and a raspberry PI for the server. It allows me to sit at the PC playing guitar while the Helix is the other side of the room. The USB connection to Helix appears and HX Edit uses it. Question Since updating to 2.8 HX Edit keeps disconnecting so I wonder if anyone else has managed to find a way of connecting to the Helix USB over a network? USB servers such as Lindy (https://www.lindy.co.uk/usb-c4/4-port-usb-2-0-gigabit-network-server-p8641) might work but I don't really want to spend £80 finding it doesn't! OscarMann
Hi, I would not have hoped for a free program. A complex function to perform. I know that there is still USB over Ethernet for such work. They support both Raspberry Pi and Windows 10. It will be easy to get remote access. The point at finance. You can try trial version.
