JEMcG
Hi, I would really appreciate some help. I've been using the GX with POD farm for some time to record music. Very recently a horrific buzz has started whenever I use an amp with disortion. Clean amps do not have the problem. I can use a noise gate to get rid of it, but not without completly gutting my guitar tone. Here is a sample of it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4l1MJq9Sudk&feature=youtu.be So in this video I start with nothing plugged in, you'll notice it already has a terrible buzz. If I were to switch to a clean amp this would go. 7 Seconds in, I plug the guitar in, it gets worse. I play a few notes and let it ring out to show how the sound covers it but quickly becomes bad again when you let a note ring. Then the volume gets turned down to nothing at 28 seconds. The pop shortly after is me unplugging. I would really appreciate any help. Thank you!
fflbrgst
Without listening to your video, the symptoms sound like a compressor that has kicked on full.
JEMcG
Hi, thanks for the reply. There's no compressor, and I tried making a brand new tone to be sure and nothing is there. Really stuck as what this could be. I tried swapping the jack leads, the guitar itself and now the POD. It's still there.
Gaz_Ham
Just pointing out the obvious, but have you tried reinstalling the drivers? I've had podfarm just crap out on me randomly, a driver reinstall sorted it out.
Gaz_Ham
Can always try the troubleshooting guide, theres usually a solution in there.
tjlatour
Hey JEMcG, I'm having the exact same issue. The buzz is only there when the Drive is being used. Otherwise no buzz. Were you able to find a solution? Many thanks!
