tooloudtoobad
I will be using a Helix and 2 Powercab + cabs direct to board out of the powercab, so I have always been gigging with tube amp and pedalboard, a year or two ago I bought a Boss Katana Artist 100. Took it to gig And I just could not here it good in the mix so I got rid of it and got a Friedman Runt 50 and was happy. Now after having the helix for a few months the amps just dont sound as good anymore as they did to me. I have been in the same band for over 25 years same members except we have had about 5 Singers, the other guitarist plays a few different 20 watt tube amps He cant make it to this next gig so we have a guitarist that plays a marshall up to about 6-7 with a power brake. I will see how the helix does this saturday........
Floydea
Myself and the other guitarist in my band have been using our Helix boards straight into the mixer for several years now. We've played in small clubs, outdoor gigs, the main stage at Casino's, etc... never had an issue. We have StageSource speakers, but only use them as monitors. Have fun and enjoy!
