FX LOOP

Hello everyone,

I just recently bought Two notes Cab M, and I've been messing around with it, placing it in Loop in my Pod HD 500x. Everything is working fine with simple instrument cable, but for some reason when I plug TRS balanced cable in fx send and from there into line in on Cab there is no signal. From cab m line out to fx return I'm using adapter cable from pic attached. Like I said fx send doesn't send any kind of signal from Pod to cab m with Trs cable. I tried going from cab m line out to pod right and with the same balanced cable and it was working fine. So the cable is not the issue, I don't understand, It says Trs send, and I know both line in and out on cab m are also Trs. What am I doing wrong?

I wonder:

Is it there no signal at all, or is it there not enough signal?

I guess that when plugging a TRS jack cable into the (stereo capable/mono) SEND output, the POD signal is splitted in 2 halves L and R, therefore if you connect to your IR loader just one of the 2 channels the signal is considerably weaker than what you'd get by using instead a standard mono cable.

So if you have to use a Y cable, some boosting ( at least 6 dB ) from the POD before the FX LOOP block in the chain could be necessary.

Moreover, make sure that the switch on the rear panel of the POD is set to LINE and not STOMP, LINE level signals is what an IR loader is expecting.
