mooglesthegreat
Hi! I'm really new to recording music and making music in general. Up until this point I've been recording myself singing and playing guitar into garage band. I bought an audio interface (Presonus studio 24c) to split up my singing and my guitar playing into two separate tracks. What I'm having trouble with is connecting my Line 6 Spider V5 60 into my audio interface. I know I've seen amps with an 'output' jack but the only output I see on my amp is a headphone jack. Is it possible to use the headphone jack as a "line out" into my audio interface to record from my amp by using an adaptor and cable? florinist
I believe that's where your guitar goes, not the amp.The interface goes into the laptop. And then connect your laptop and amp via USB. I assume.
bobcoss
Record you guitar directly through the Spider V60 amp plugged into your computer using USB and the appropriate driver. You should get better sound going direct from your Spider V. Plug your microphone into the computer using your interface and it's drivers. To hear yourself in the Mic, you might have to plug monitors or speakers into the audio interface to eliminate the latency.
