Guitar-Marco
Is there a difference in hardware between a Spider V 120 and a Spider V 120 MKII, or is a Spider V 120 with new firmware the same as a Spider V 120 MKII? If it makes sense to buy a new Spider V 120 MKII, if I already have a normal Spider V 120?
gtrman100
Other than a few cosmetic changes, there is no difference between the original Spider V and MkII. The cosmetics are minor labeling changes on the front panel. The software is the real update. In essence, if you update your original Spider V with the latest software, you have a MkII. ADBrown
As gtrman100 pointed out, no need to buy a Spider V Mk2. You can update your Spider V to the latest firmware and your amp will be a Mk2 as well.
