Does the FBV Express MkII control individual effect pedals or just presets?

Recommended Posts

Researching what my next buy for an amp should be, planning on buying a Spider V, does the foot controller for it just scroll through presets or does it control individual effects, can't find any crystal clear resources. Or would I have to get the multi-effects pedals for those features? Any help/info would be appreciated, thank you.

The Express can only select the 4 patches in a preset bank (that you have selected on the amp), plus the wah/volume pedal.

yeeeep,it's a minimal pedal.you would think that Line 6 would  put more functions in it.they need a better research & development team imo.

I have a Spider V30 MkII and am looking at getting a FBV Express MkII and am OK with only accessing 4 patches. But I am confused which bank the FBV Express MkII defaults to and how I go about switching a bank on the V30? I think I am missing something real simple here but a not sure.

The FBV selects from the current bank selected on the amp - you select the bank using the amp's controls.
