GLOBAL STOMP/SNAPSHOT MODE OPTION SURVEY

There's no right or wrong answer here because I'm not having a "technical" problem.  I'm just having trouble making up my mind.  I simply would like to hear discussion from others what options they are using in the global settings for the snapshot/stomp modes/8or10 switch number, and "WHY/HOW" using it that way suits your own purpose/needs.  Especially interested in how the latest Command Center update factors in to those choices if you are, in fact, making use of it.  What about those who use the "looper" - does that have an effect on your global setting preferences?  Unless somebody has already done a good, and broad, YouTube video on this subject -  I really think this could be a head-slapping "could-a had a V8" thread for a LOT of people!  If there's already been multiple threads on this kindly direct me to one of them - thanks in advance!

With 2.9x I guess I will never ever leave stomp mode again. Before I've mainly been using 4stomp/4snap mode and occasionally went to 10 stomp mode. I wish there was a 12-stomp mode.

Fwiw, I'm only ever using one single patch per gig and will only change that when Line 6 may introduce a global block functionality of some sorts.

I'm kind of the opposite from the above in that I use a preset per song so I never have any problems running out of stomp or snapshot buttons on a given preset.  So I use a standard 8 button setup with snaps/stomp and obviously use the left hand bank buttons for switching presets.  It's pretty boring, but it's worked fine for me for several years now and I haven't seen any need to mess with it.  I don't use the looper other than when I'm testing presets so it doesn't affect anything in my globals.  The only other real change in the globals from the default is I set my XLR output to Mic and disconnect it from the Helix big volume knob for going to the mixing board so it won't be affected by any volume adjustments I make on my 1/4" outs going to my stage speaker.
