ching0823
Hello, im new to the hx stomp and recording guitar in digital world. My signal chain from guitar to my headphones/speakers is Guitar -> hx stomp L/mono output -> line 6 GX interface -> pc -> Mixer app in pc (Voicemeeter) -> headphones and speakers. (hx stomp output is set to "LINE") It sounds very similar when i plug it into a PA system and listening through headphones output. Now I am trying to use the USB asio output, but it sounds harsh and thin. Then i try to use the L/mono output but this time setting the output to "INST", it sounds the same to what i hear via usb. Is it possible to make usb output sounds like "LINE" output on L/mono? Or am i wrong in setting up asio? I appreciate to you if u spend your time to read this. *i use voicemeeter because GX interface has only one output port and i want to output signal to many channels inside pc. silverhead
Make sure you are using the Line 6 ASIO driver when you use the HX Stomp as your audio interface. You will need to download and install it if you haven’t done so already. It is part of the HX Edit installer package.
ching0823
Thank you, i have the asio driver installed. I will try to reinstall every driver later.
silverhead
I’m not familiar with the mixer app you are using. When using HX stomp as the audio interface is the app configured to use the Stomp and the Line 6 driver?
ching0823
Yes, i can input both GX interface and HX Stomp simultaneously, they sound very different. Also the GX sounds identical if i directly use the GX interface as main input and output (not using mixer app).
silverhead
What computer/OS are you using? What recording program (you only mention a mixer)?
