Jkremer1
Hi guys, I was able to pick up a JTV-69 US model but it has no serial number on the back of the headstock. Any idea's why?
phil_m
Where did you get it from? Looking at mine, the serial number is on what looks to be one of those water slide type adhesive stickers. So I suppose it is possible that it could come off or be removed on purpose.
Jkremer1
I purchased it off Reverb. It does not look like any thing has been removed or altered.

Well, like I said, it is possible it could have just come off... It could have been a prototype or something, but I would think that would be less likely, as I think the gold finish wasn’t available until later. You should be able to get the serial number off of it if you connect it to Monkey with the VDI interface, I think.

Jkremer1
Good idea! I didn't even think on that.
psarkissian
Serial number won't show up in Monkey for a JTV.
psarkissian
It's legit. Very good. :) I know the guy that makes the US ones. He does good work.
Jkremer1
It's a very nice playing guitar. I also have a non US JTV-69 and the US version just feels better.
psarkissian
Gold finish came out later for the Korean 69S models, 2012 or 2013 'ish. This one is an early US from 2010. Very good. Any idea who you got it from?
Jkremer1
The guy I purchased it from on Reverb said he was selling it for his guitarist in his band.
