Jtv 59 / Hd500x Acoustic Sound Combo

Recommended Posts

I have struggled all day trying to get my acoustic to sound so good, and not so "hollow".  Does anyone know of a good patch that sounds like this?

Around the 1:25 mark.

I've looked on Customtone but there aren't any acoustic models for HD500X.  Or am I able to use older models on the HD500X (X3, HD500 regular), etc...?

I had a hard time too but I finally came up with a good solution.  The link below is to a thread with details.  It was done for the DT but works great with other setups too.  Unfortunately Sean's tones will be almost impossible to match.  Just look at how they were recorded.  Maybe if you had all that gear it would sound the same but this should get you close.

You are supposed to be able to drag & drop a HD500 tone into a HD500X new tone slot  in EDIT and then save it as a 500X file.

talked about in this thread

Thank you guys so very much.  These links sure helped a great deal.

It's been taking me a long time to find guitar tones that satisfy me, but I am confident I'll get there eventually.  Pick the right guitar (Variax) + the FX/Amp/Mic, etc... on the HD500X...it's like alchemy.

Love it!  Proud to be back as a Line 6 player, and I'll never leave again.
