Nos402
Does anyone know which Earvana nut I would use on a JTV-69?
Nos402
I'm guessing the Fender Retrofit 1 5/8" 12 radius?
psarkissian
Not a 12 radius. Close. Whatever you get, it should be material like the Black TUSQ, or it may resonate too much. Make certain there is no sideways breaking angles, and that the elevated breaking angle between nut and tuning posts maintain a 12-15 degree angle. All the JTV-69 specs I've ever seen all say 12" radius.
psarkissian
12 and a fraction, +/- what ever the tolerance is. Very small tolerance. https://l6c-acdn2.line6.net/data/6/0a020a41a8d55d77e6f4bce85/application/pdf/file.pdf?_ga=2.146816695.1496305056.1593806635-567407647.1560723648
Nos402
Well damn. My luthier says that nut won't work because it's curved and the slot is flat and it's already flush so he can't file the bottom down. I wonder if I need a different model of Earvana. He seems to think I need one of the one-piece models.
