Verchrona
Hello, I am trying to switch Helix Native hardware compatibility to off. Everytime I try to change it to OFF, my host crashes. I have tried this in both Pro Tools 12.5.2 and Gig Performer 3.7.0. Same crash everytime. There is no standalone version to try to change it there. How do I change this setting without it crashing on me all the time? I am using an HX Stomp as the interface right now. I am on Windows 10. Thanks

Thanks Hi, I’m confused as to why you want to turn off “hardware compatibility”? If you are using an HX Stomp then there is a limit to how many blocks you can use for the patches you create in HX Native to maintain compatibility with your hardware and make them interchangeable. Check - Helix Native Pilot’s Guide - Page 12 “Preset Compatibility with Helix Devices”. As I understand it, this is the same when using HX Edit because you cannot create presets with more blocks than your connected hardware can manage. Check - HX Edit Pilot’s Guide - Page 3. I am unable to check this because I use HXN with a Helix Floor unit and therefore unrestricted.
