TMaxxUK Posted August 10, 2020 Share Posted August 10, 2020 hey all. i want to record our drummer's Roland TD12 into the midi in of Helix then into my DAW (Studio One 4.5 Pro), but can't seem to get any midi into the DAW. it all works fine with my Presonus iTwo interface, but cannot get anything through the Helix. silverhead Posted August 10, 2020 Share Posted August 10, 2020 Helix has a lot of midi capabilities but I'm not sure it is a full midi implementation. In particular I'm not sure it handles and passes thru the note on/off events that are critical for your purposes. I know the POD X3 had that deficiency and don't know if it's been added to Helix. ossianott Posted August 15, 2020 Share Posted August 15, 2020 Im trigging midi from trig mics on acoustic drums to an alesis dm5 into my hx stomp into daw, works very well. Find the midi thru setting in the settings and it should show up in the daw, that's all I had to do. Hope it works out for you and have fun!
