I click on the icon and I get a quick blue circle for about a half second, the crickets. Not sure what happened, nothing major has changed (that I know of) and it worked fine about a week ago and for the last several months. Windows 10 HX Edit 2.92 HX Stomp 2.92 Yes I rebooted Yes I reinstalled Yes I uninstalled - rebooted - reinstalled - rebooted. Yes my system recognizes the HX stomp and it is my primary sound device. DunedinDragon Posted September 3, 2020 Share Posted September 3, 2020 This appears to be more of a Windows problem than a Helix problem as HX Edit seems to be failing to load rather than loading and failing with an error. Try right clicking and run HX Edit as Administrator to see if it's a security related problem. Other than that I can only suggest looking at the Windows Event Log to see what's going on. adamkingram Posted January 8, 2021 Share Posted January 8, 2021 im having that issue now all the sudden. I completely removed everything line6 on my PC (Windows 10) cleaned the registry, then rebooted and reinstalled, still won't open. I've contact line6 and yet to hear back from them. I went a little fuether and I reinstalled whole win 10 and after "windows update" .... ....firstly was web browser and then hx edit downloaded straight from line6 website. Thought it was due to a windows update, but actually it was due to a new device (a USB mic with built-in storage) being plugged in. As soon as it was unplugged, HX Edit worked fine. chopinik Posted January 15, 2021 Share Posted January 15, 2021 I've got 2 laptops, both are the same brand but different models one is working with hx edit just fine, the other was ok until it just have stopped opening the HX Edit app and since then no progress... ....ok. I've read this, and it was my sollution: I found the answer on reddit. There's an SD card in my card reader. When I eject the card, HX Edit runs.
