HX Stomp touch sensitive foot switches

Recommended Posts

Hey guys. It's kinda frustrating when adjusting settings on a preset and I get kicked out and wind up in some other menu.  Is there a way to turn off the touch sensitivity of the foot switches? Thanks.

Above is from the LT Manual. Below is from the HXS manual:

When set to "Touch," touching a Stomp mode switch selects its assigned item(s) but pressing doesn't. When set to "Press," pressing a Stomp
mode switch selects its assigned item(s) but touching doesn't (helpful if you insist on playing barefoot). When set to "Both," either touching or
pressing will select the assigned item. The default is "Touch."

Downgrade to firmware 2.91 (tested myself!) or wait for the next update.

Even though the relase notes for v2.92 claim that "When Global Settings > Footswitches > Stomp Select is set to "Off" or "Press," touch-holding switches could still result in assignment and swap dialogs—FIXED", it's not the case on a HX Stomp.

"Luckily", FS1 touch sensitivity on my Stomp is broken out of the box, so I only have to deal with two annoyingly hypersensitive switches at the moment. (Eventually sending the device in for warranty repair when not needed for a few weeks.)
