Hello all, was wondering if Helix plans to introduce a Laney Ironheart amp in a future release? also wondering if there are any current amp that are close to the Ironheart?

Thanks all

Line 6 are not known for telling people what they have in the pipeline, at least not until it’s about to happen and that’s if you are really lucky. Also, I wonder what the Laney would add to what’s already available?

As for any amp model already in the firmware, the best thing to do is go through them one by one and listen. When you find one you like that’s it, even though it may be one you never expected. I bet you haven’t checked them all out yet.

A little trick to test/compare various amps is put a looper block in the first slot before anything else. Then go through the amp and cab selections while your recorded riff loops around. When you find something interesting you can then select the separate amp and cab and mess with mic positions hi/lo cut etc., or even audition different IRs. You might be surprised at what you turn up.

I might check out the Line 6 Originals as well they seem to be very good

They are worth looking at, and some of the Djent style guys on here rate a couple of them as good. For a little more insight as to how the came into being and what they are based on go here and read about them from under the more detail link.

Hope this helps

ANGL Meteor. Its hard rock / metal sounds are probably the closest - and AWESOME.
