NickM62
I need to get my LT PAT tested, and I've got a couple of questions: 1. Could it damage any of the circuits inside? 2. What would be a good earth point on the unit to connect to for the test? Thanks, Nick
rd2rk
What is a PAT test, and why do you need it done? OK, I looked it up - Portable Appliance Test Why do you need it done? Just curious....
NickM62
Some venues here in the UK insist that all electrical equipment is safety tested and labelled as such.. Just want to get sorted while everything is quiet
codamedia
There should be PAT services available in the UK then. Why not call a few and find out what is involved....
NickM62
I've borrowed a PAT tester from work, but can't seem to find a good earth point on the case of the LT. The black chassis and black screws do not a good ground make :-)
titchyblackcat
I've just checked this (I've got a HX Stomp with a power supply) The Helix, Helix Lt, Helix Rack and Helix Control can be PAT tested as they have an internal power supply. (They have a 240v power cable going into them.) Be very careful which test you apply as a PAT Tester can deliver some harmful voltages to electronic equipment.
