spikey
I've found "by accident" a really good matchup- I have had the HX-Effects hooked up to a Marshall head for a while now (luv the thing BTW), and recently I purchased the Strymon Iridum pedal. The plexi and AC-30 sounds are just killer to me. So, I wanted some FX for the Iridium, so I started playing around with it and the HX-Effects. Match made in Heaven i think! And with the proper midi controller (like a Morningstar MC8) you will have a monster setup. OK No proof without a clip? Here ya go- All thumbs this morning please pardon the goofs lol.... 2 1
PierM
It's since march Im using my Iridium (and other Strymon pedals), and parked Helix modeling (imho Iridum plays in a different league). Using Helix primarly as a signal 'router' and to add some exotic stuff that I cant do with pedals. Really great stuff!
soundog
Holy Mackerel! Talk about plug-in and just play. I just received my Iridium pedal (a Christmas present to myself for being relatively good). This thing is over the top good! Yeah, I'm playing it some with the HFX, but I like it enuf with just the built in IRs and a pinch of the room reverb. Holy Mackerel!
jetflyr
Hey all! Sorry, I know this is an older thread. I recently picked up an HX Effects to pair with my Iridium and to replace my switcher, Big Sky and Timeline. I love it when it works but I keep getting f feedback between the two pedals. Has anyone experienced this when marrying the two pedals? Thanks!

jetflyr
I’m running stereo out from the HX to a trx plug into the Strymon. The odd part is I get noise with the pedal on or off. Strymon Zuma for power.
PierM
I do prefer to put my Iridium, and all the other pedals, in the FX Send/Return of my HXStomp (which I use without HX amp/cab simulation). Everything set at Instrument level (both iridium and FX loop). This way I move the iridium where I want in my HX preset chain, through the use of a FX loop block. Since Iridium is stereo, you could even send and return full TRS. As for the noise, hard to tell, but be sure to match all levels (instrument VS line), and also be sure that Iridium is set to simulate both Amp and Cab (it's in the manual). Give it a try, works great, and you shouldnt get any feedback loop. (forget all the pedals in the middle)
jetflyr
I may try that. The one big bummer is I had hoped to use the Effects as a switcher so that I can call up the two ODs together or separately. If I do it the way you suggest I’d have to use those inputs. I love the capabilities of I can actually get it to replace the big Strymons and Boss switcher. I’ll definitely try it your way to help in troubleshooting. Thanks!
