ddavis31
Can the Mobile Keys keyboard(s) be used with my Line 6 UX-1 DAW?
rhodjuzz
Don't know about the UX-1. Does anybody know if the Mobile Keys can be connected to the iPad 4 using the lightning to 30 pins connector? Thanks!!
silverhead
No, the Mobile Keys can't be used with the UX-1. The UX-1 is an audio interface; Mobile Keys uses MIDI.
TheRealZap
it can be used in conjunction WITH the UX1, but the sounds would come from your computer via other software. silverhead
Perhaps I misunderstood the question. I thought the OP wanted to know if you could connect the Mobile Keys as an input to the UX-1.
rhodjuzz
Answers for ipad4 iphone5 (eg lightning connector) etc. don't come easily. I found my answer here: http://store.apple.com/us/product/H9326LL/A/line-6-mobile-keys-49-controller Maybe this will help other people as well. I'm not the only one with lightning, 30 pins is about to decease.
Nu2moro
I use mobile keys 49 with iPhone 5 with the adaptor cable, no problems using it with various apps.
necrochicken
I recently bought a mobile keys 25 to add to my UX2. I should have just bout the KB unit but whatever. Do anyone know if I can use both the UX2 and MK25 at the same time with Reason recording software?

djm2222
I'm looking to purchase both the Mobile Keys 49 and the Sonic Port. As the Sonic Port includes cables for both the Lighting and the 30 pin connectors, will I be able to use the Lighting cable that comes with the Sonic Port with the Mobile Keys (ie. do both devices use the same connector). Thanks

Thanks I see this is an old post but for anyone else with the same question, I tried the sonic port lightning cable with my mobile keys 25 as it only comes with the 30 pin connector. The good news is the sockets on both items is the same and I got the keyboard working with Beatmaker 2. I can only assume it should work with other apps as well. I was going to order the lightning to 30 pin adapter but can now save the money. Cheers Line 6!!!
Micheltremblay
I use mobile keys 49 with iPhone 5 with the adaptor cable, no problems using it with various apps. Can you record the keyboard's sound in Riffworks?
TheRealZap
the keyboard doesn't have any sounds.... and riffworks doesn't support VSTi's so unless there is some rewire option i've never tried... along with a host program for the keyboard... the immediate answer is no... perhaps another user has figured this out? Can you record the keyboard's sound in Riffworks?
Micheltremblay
Thank you, RealZap. So, I can't use the keyboard directly with RW, but I could make them work together with a software like Ableton Live via Rewire. This brings my next question: How exactly do you rewire Live with Riffworks? I've been sent multiple times to the RW that "explains" the rewiring. The last step tells you to rewire Live to RW, but it does not say how. In RW, what do I press exactly? In EZDrummer, I see "Rewire" with three gain buttons. I pressed Rewire, but nothing happens. I would have hoped it would show Live somewhere. I would be grateful to anyone to figure it out for me. Maybe the problem is that I have the demo version of Live? RuiMartins
Just to let all know, I tried using the Mobile 25 with an android tablet and it works!!! I just plug the usb cable to the tablet's On The Go cable connection and then use an app that has a keyboard. There´s no mention anywhere about this, my tablet is about 3 years old so it doesn´t even need to be a recent android version to work. Don´t have the 49 but as they're the same hardware I think it will work too.
