Hello, line6 team.

 

I am a POD GO user, I have a suggestion: I can freely delete the blocks in the effect chain (instead of closing). I hope you can add this function through firmware update.

 

The tone of POD GO is great. But it is very inflexible.
Because POD GO's amp/preamp, cab/IR, Wah, Volume pedal, Preset EQ, and FX Loop always exist, and they can only be turned off and cannot be deleted. This means there are only 4 places to place other blocks.

 

For me, I don't need cab/IR, Wah, Volume pedal, FX Loop.
I need to use compression, boost, noise gate, delay, and reverb blocks (5 in total). But there are only 4 positions, which cannot meet my needs at all.

 

Therefore, I hope that blocks in the effect chain can be freely deleted (instead of closing). I hope you can add this feature through firmware update.

 

I believe that most POD GO users have this need like me.

Line6 does not appear to read this forum.  But yeah there are many threads like this asking for more flexibility, Line6 has never answered any of them.  I don't think I've actually seen a Line6 answer to any topic anywhere...

This is a user community forum. There is a place for product suggestions that Line 6 does check. It's called Ideascale. Go to line6.ideascale.com and register.

All of the above is correct, but apart from line6 reading this forum or not, the request for deleting won't be take in consideration anyway I guess. First, there's no point in "deleting" blocks, like you cannot delete presets, it's not inherent from a computational point of view.

And if you mean "deleting" in order to free up space for adding blocks or blocks types, well, this is a Pod, and it's quite cheap, for a reason. If they'd allowed more freedom (i.e. a second DSP) the cost would had levitate and it would have been an helix series efx, not a pod. The design of this machine is meant to be simple.

If you feel like being limited by the pod go, maybe it's not the gear for you, and you should aim from a helix stomp or another hx series unit.
