about 1/4 inch instrument cables

Hi there.  Just wondering: how do you keep your instrument cable?  The thing that I find kind-of inconvenient is that the 1/4 inch cable plugs into the back panel.  So there's a possibility that the guitar cable can get in the way of the expression pedal/buttons.  Do you tape the cable down, so it doesn't get in the way?  Or do you weigh the cable with the Helix itself?  Any other hacks/tricks?

thanks,

d.

Cramming cables underneath gear is never a solution... you're asking for a busted jack and/or cable. Not to mention creating a unstable Helix that'll wobble every time you step on a footswitch because it can't sit flush with the floor.

Go wireless... problem solved. And you'll never want a guitar cable again.

Failing that, most of life's problems can be solved with either duct tape, or WD40.... Hint: in this case, you don't want the WD40. ;)

yeah I have a Shure wireless... but sometimes, I have to work plugged in, especially when I'm recording stuff, so there's no noise.  I wish there were some kind of a "yoke" thing for the cable.  I dunno...

1. Get a case that allows jacks to be plugged in, or at least ported, where you need.

2. They sell cords and adapters that allow a right angle.

3. tape is the musician's friend*. buy it by the case.

4. go wireless live

*most musicians will never know the feel of having gear taped to their body. i suggest shaving first.
