Jonny_BGrove
Hi guys I have chosen the option to run xlr to my power amp and onwards to my cab. Just wondering what settings you have your switches on the back? Would you have the switches in different positions for running unbalanced to a computer and xlr to power amp? Cheers

joebutterfield
When running the XLR outputs the only switches that are dedicated to that function is the ground lift functionality, XLR will always send a balanced tone. Ideally use this for connecting to a mixer, power amp or into a recording interface. Unbalanced functionality is dedicated to the 1/4" outputs. Use the "Line" setting for mixer, power amp or into a recording interface. Use "Amp" setting is you are connecting the HD to the input of a guitar amplifier or any source that wants a low level signal. For your application with power amp and cab I would make sure that within your System I/O settings you choose "Stack Power Amp". Make sure that you are using the preamp models within your preset, that way no cab or mic modeling is in the signal chain. Hope this helps @line6jbutter
Jonny_BGrove
Hi there Thanks for the info dude. Are the preamp's the amps with pre at the end of it in HD Edit? What would I have to set the Ground/ Lift switch to and also what would I have to put the mic/line switch on to?
