hibberdm
Hi everyone - hoping someone can help me here. I recently got a UX2 and a Rode NT1-A microphone. I can barely hear any vocal through the headphones unless I crank up the physical gain on the mic channel and/or the level in the DI in themixer view of pod farm. That results in very high levels of white noise making it impossible to record. I have managed to record some guitars ok but generally find the UX2 output volume surprisingly low. This is driving me nuts - am I missing something super simple here? The only thing I have been able to test is a different XLR cable, and the results are the same. All the gear is brand new. I'm going into a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 which is a few months old. Thanks Mike
Triryche
Do you have the phantom power turned on?
hibberdm
Hi - yes I have the phantom power on. Using a dynamic mic works fine, I've discovered. But that doesn't require PP, obviously. Maybe the UX2 phantom power delivery is faulty, or the Rode is faulty.
