gibbking
Hello all, I'm very new to the helix and variax community and I recently purchased a variax standard. After having it for a few months I realized I might want a longer cable to use the variax in live or practice settings so I purchased a line 6 VDI cable. I plugged it into my variax and into my helix but I was dismayed to find that the modeling components for the variax did not turn on like I expected. I was hoping this cable would just function as a longer ethernet cable like the one that came with the guitar but was also smiliar in function to a regular guitar cord. Does the VDI cable allow for modeling while using it or would I still be reliant on batteries while using it? Really hoping I'm doing something wrong here. psarkissian
Te cable that came with the Variax is for connecting to Monkey and Workbench HD. The VDI cable is for playing thru. Check the input selector page on your Helix to be certain the VDI input is active.
