Loco23
Hey guys I've noticed a difference that I'm not sure is normal. Digitial delay's volume seems to be at a lower volume than that of analog. This seems to be even so much to the point that I have to bring the digital delay mix past 50% and the volume is still not even with the original signal. Does anyone have this same problem? silverhead
Is is actually a problem? Can you get the desired level by raising the mix setting?
Loco23
nah it's not a problem, and yes i can. I just want to know if my POD500 has a defect or if thats the norm.
phil_m
The mix knob acts a bit differently for every model. It depends on how the original effect that was modeled acted. One thing to note is the Digital Delay amd Analog Echo models (possibly a few others, too), the tone controls in the effect are passive. What that means is they only cut signal - they can't boost it. The default settings for these controls is actually set to 50%, so if you leave them there, you're actually cutting volume on the repeated signal by quite a bit. I like to turn them to 100% to start and then adjust them lower if I feel I need to roll of the top or bottom.
