sjturbo
Likely a question that has a simple answer but. I am considering getting a Pod Go and see many free and "for sale" Helix patches that indicate that they are not compatible with the PG just the Floor and LT model. Is this due to the single vs dual processor or is there more to it?
silverhead
There’s more to it. The two devices use different DSP management strategies as illustrated by the POD Go’s fixed vs. Flex blocks. Regardless of why, the presets are simply not compatible.
sjturbo
Thanks much. Next Question would be. Are the Pod Go parameters adjustable on the "amp models", (such as litigator)?
silverhead
Yes, assuming the sort of amp model parameters you're talking about are Drive, Tone controls, mic/cab selections, etc. Or are you meaning something more obscure?
sjturbo
No, not more obscure. Just what you mentioned. Thanks again!
silverhead
I find it's always helpful to read the manual before purchasing a product like this. Helps you understand the details and prevents unpleasant post-purchase surprises. https://line6.com/data/6/0a020a401270c5f5262b29e68c/application/pdf/POD Go 1.10 Owner's Manual - English .pdf
sjturbo
Reading the manual sounds like an idea. I usually prefer to have the unit in front of me for "real world" experience. BTW thanks for the link! I do have a question that needs needs hands on experience but will post as new topic. You will likely have an answer for it.
