suckmydick2
Hey everyone, I have the HX Stomp cabled with a Mesa Express+ utilizing the 4CM and I was wondering when involving the Vloume Pedal block in the Stomp where does it actually become effective: in front of the amp or in the effects loop? The first would affect the amp gain, the latter the volume sent to the amp power stage. Same goes for the Wah pedals, they sound horrible in the FX loop... Is there any statement from Line6 regarding this? Thanks!

silverhead
The more disturbing part is the implication that someone else beat him to it.
rd2rk
Trying to ignore OP's choice of screen name..... Where you put a Volume Pedal Block totally depends on your use case. Want to increase amp gain? Put it before the amp. Want to do clean swells? Put it last in the chain. Increase ambient FX? Put it after the amp and before the ambient FX. There's no hard and fast rules for this stuff. And FWIW - my physical WAH (535Q) goes in the FX Loop, first in the signal chain. Sounds fine. Try adjusting the FX Loop Send/Return Levels to accommodate your WAH's I/O characteristics.
