hx stomp expression issue 0-100-0

I bought mission engineering sp-1 expression for my hx stomp.

 

Like hx stomp manual I plan to use trs-tip, ring setting

so bought rockboard slitter Y cable (trs - ts, ts) and tested it.

then display shows and pedal work 0 - 100 - 0 curve.

 

I heard trs can support the function of ts, then can't it overcome by setting it up?

 

so I tested with my aux cable like trs-trs.

but it work well 0 to 100 nicely (then i can't use fs5)

I wathed youtube and searched another forum tried.

 

but nothing was helpful to me 

 

I think sp-1 is little bit functionally different from sp-1 l6.

Is that why I think sp-1 by sp-1 l6's standards?

Hi, 

 

Not all Mission pedals are the same.

 

Quote from the Mission Website page:

 

"Revision B SP1-L6H pedals began shipping in December 2018. Rev B adds an enhancement to the pedal when used with the Line 6 HX Stomp. To connect a Rev B SP1-L6 to the HX Stomp, you may optionally use a single TRS cable in place of the TRS Y cable. This simplifies setup, and reduces wiring complexity on a pedal board."

You can use FS5 like that!

 

HX -> TRS  -> cable splits into TRS  -> ME expression and TS -> FS.

 

Connections:

HX T ->  ME T

HX R -> FS T

HX S -> both ME and FS S

ME T not connected

 

T = tip, R = rIng, S = sleve, HX = HX Stomp, ME = Mission Engineering expression pedal, FS = footswitch

 

You can also use a TRS to 2x TS split cable and isolate the first  5mm of the sleeve of one TS plug with some thin tape for the ME.
