ljholland
Just wondering for those of you that play out through a PA system - where do you set the volume knob? When I owned a Helix, the general consensus was to leave the knob at 100%.
voxman55
Around 60-70% - that way you have some extra to control the volume instantly if you need to without having to alter main board volume - for example, it can be difficult to accurately balance the volume level for all your patches and even then different ambiences in different venues can affect these. If you go 100% you have nowhere to go but down.
Rossco02
I play live with mine and leave it around 50%-60% for same reasons as Voxman PLUS you just don't need the output to be that hot.
Tavish-Rox
Totally depends on the output of your patches, desk gain etc. best thing to do is play around, find what will work for you situation, I personally run about 80% with Pod set to line level out, but my desk gain is low so i could run with less output if i wanted to, just sound ok how i have it... I guess i hear more Pod than my desk in this situation..
