C4TH
Hi people, I've been trying to save some instant midi commands with HX Edit, but I can't see the "Done" button anymore. At least I think it used to be there. But nothing is saving. Can still be done on the physical unit, but HX Edit is not working. Any help would be great. Thanks. phil_m
Make sure you have the latest version of HX Edit installed.
rd2rk
In Global Settings/Preferences, if SNAPSHOT EDITS is set to discard, when you're done editing a Snapshot, you must SAVE the Preset before moving to another Snapshot. If SNAPSHOT EDITS is set to RECALL, you can edit all of your Snapshots and SAVE the preset when you're done. I always SAVE the Preset as soon as I'm done with a Snapshot regardless, just to be safe. 2

FWIW, when I use the computer for editing any hardware (not just the helix), I am always in the habit of saving changes on the hardware, not from the software. I look at it this way... it's the hardware that is saving the snapshot/preset, so I push save on the hardware. The software is just the middle man, and I don't trust a middle man with anything important :) I keep my Helix on a stand beside me in my studio so it's easy for me to do this. I can certainly understand the trouble if you keep it on the floor or out of reach.
C4TH
Thanks for your help guys. All working again. I had to delete my instant commands that i had previously made and then redo them again.
