I’m at a loss with paths…

So I’ve been searching for a few days and I just can’t figure out this problem. I’m sure it’s something simple that I’m just missing and I’ll feel dumb once someone explains this to me…

I’ve had a helix for a few years but my setup is very simple. My roommate got one a few weeks ago for his band and will be using it live as both a guitar and vocal processor. What I’m trying to do is set up each dsp chip for 16 blocks in series. So the first two lines will be used for his guitar and the second two lines will be used for his vocals. I can figure how to do parallel paths, I can figure out how to set it up for 4 separate input paths, I can figure out how to make it one huge series path with all 4 lines but I can’t figure out how to link path 1a & 1b in series for guitar and 2a & 2b for a vocal series path. Is this just not possible or am I missing something incredibly simple here?

thanks for any help!

Select the last block in 1A. Assign it the effect that you want to be the LAST in 1B (not essential, just where that effect will be by default. Change it as necessary.).

Pull it down to create a split. Change the Split to A/B (default is Y). Route the signal 100% to B.

Pull down the Mixer Block to create a separate Out.

Since no signal will be going to the Out on Path A, you now have a 16 Block serial path.

Hi,

It seems that “rd2rk” has it covered in his post above, but for a diagram of how it all works:

check out page 21 of the Helix 3.0 Owner’s Manual - Rev F - English.

Super Serial - A picture is worth a thousand words, (or the 85 above), as the saying goes.

;)

Hope this helps/makes sense.

Why don't you just split this way:

1A+2A for guitar

1B+2B for vocals

This is by far more simple....

???

I find it easier to have a processer per 'person' when I run my dual acoustic shows.  I'm on processor 1 (a - guitar, b - vocals) and processor 2 is my partner (a - guitar, b - vocals).   But to each his own.  I just find it easier to remember that my 'rig' is on top, and his is below.
