LarsH66 Posted October 16, 2022 Share Posted October 16, 2022 Hi guys, everywhere I look, whether here or on YouTube, it's absolutely impossible to find tutorials that are down to the knuckle draggin' basics. All are moving too fast, using unfamiliar words and terminology totally new to someone that has never used this kind of equipment before. Where can such tutorials be found? Even the quick start guide or regular manual for the Pod Go is written with the notion that the reader/user is familiar with terminology and principles to understand the material. When I see the Line 6 tutorials on Pod Go, I am totally lost from the start. I got stuck in snapshot mode and haven't been able to get out of it yet. An "undo" button would help. More to your exact point, there is no video or written instruction (including the manual) that has us in mind... the UBER-NEW USERS... other wise known as the OOBIE-NOOBIE Uzi's (trademark name by CBlufff 10-16-2022). I'm not talking about the OOBIE-NOOBIE-OOZIES. Those guys are just gross. Seriously though, there are a lot of assumptions being made of a viewer or readers basic knowledge that are WAY off! I don't mean POD GO FOR IDIOTS, where a definition of GUITAR would be necessary, but for someone like me. I've been playing acoustic guitar for 31 years and dabbled with electric guitars and effects. My knowledge and experience of pedals, their parameters, how rearranging them in the signal flow and everything else, is extremely limited. I've witnessed a lot of technical changes and saw this one coming, that's why I bought it. I DO make videos for a living, so if anyone thinks they can make a tutorial that can fill in all the gaps that exist currently, contact me. Did you ever find anything that helped? trainguy Posted December 29, 2022 Share Posted December 29, 2022 On the more immediate question of getting out of snapshot mode - if you are in 4 button mode, hit both up and down switches at the same time to toggle between snapshot and bank up-down modes. Hint - buying an instantaneous footswitch and plugging into EXP2 gives allows you to use 6 button mode and have up-down capability. For a basic tutorial - here is a pretty good one but still probably more technical than you need: (1) Line 6 POD GO Beginners Guide & Demo w/ Tom Quayle - Bing video Probably more useful would be this one - considering that there is a lot of info online about the Helix that is very similar in workflow and structure to Pod Go. tg 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I've just started watching Chad Huskey's videos and they look great. Any other resources would be amazing too. I'm guessing these videos are also really good for people like me who haven't much experience with techy guitar stuff. My other question would be: where's the best place to look for great presets, and is it worth it? I just have no idea whether to build them all myself or whether it's worth looking online and even paying(?!) for ones made by other users. Any suggestions?
