MayPRS
I finally pulled the trigger and decided on a Helix LT. Going to pick it up tomorrow. Advices to a user that comes from the HX Effects? Can't wait!

soundog
Lots of amps. My advice is to create a simple preset with just an amp/cab (maybe a room reverb after for realism). Then try different amps to find which ones sound the best to your ears with your guitar and playing style. Simply play with the gain, bass/treble/presence, and master volume. Nothing fancy. Go for tone. There are a lot of amps, so give your ears some breaks. Do this before going crazy adding pedals and effects. If you try to play around with everything at first, you will go bat-sh*t crazy with variables and parameter choices.

MusicLaw
@MayPRS As soon as you get your new Helix LT and confirm that it powers up properly, connect it to your computer and install the recently released HX Edit 3.50! This will then recognize your Helix LT is connected to your computer and it will update your Helix LT to firmware 3.50! [Note: It is unlikely that your new LT will already have firmware 3.50 installed. Even it is does have 3.50 installed, it is best to install HX Edit 3.50 on your computer and allow it to confirm that your Helix is of the same version 3.50 -- and still do a Power On Factory Reset! This will assure that your LT will be properly configured with the latest Factory Presets. Follow the HX Edit Installation Instructions precisely! Be sure to do the Power On Factory Reset after the entire firmware 3.50 is installed to your Helix Device. The Power On Factory Reset information for your device is easily found on HelixHelp.com > Reset Options. 1
theElevators
Check that after you install 3.50, all your hardware still works! Check all knobs, buttons expression pedals. There have been some posts alleging that knob 4 stopped working after 3.50...
