Maksim19691990
Hello. I need your help. I recently built a new computer (CPU Intel I5 12400 ,motherboard Msi B660m mortar DDR4). Very sad because the performance with Line 6 helix LT as a USB audio device has become much worse. On an old PC with Intel i5 7600 I could record a guitar with a 256 buffer. On a new PC with a 1024 buffer. If you make the buffer lower, clicks and crackles occur. At the same time, my RME babyface works fine on a 48 buffer. I tried Windows 10 and Windows 11, various drivers, Helix firmware, tried to turn off the equipment. Latencymon utility shows no problems. Daw Reaper 6.73. What could be the problem? Is the I5 12400 worse than the I5 7600?

Hi Maksim did you ever resolve this issue? I ask becase I had a different usb issue with two computers based on MSI motherboards. I was unable to complete the firmware update. It would slowly go through the lengthy process and then fail at the end. By sheer bloody minded determination I was able to finally complete one update but I swear it must have taken 2 weeks and 60 or more attempts. I never got to the bottom of it but when I put it down to a compatability issue with MSI mobos/drivers and have since stuck with ASRock and Gigabyte. I never experienced the same issues with other manufacturers boards. But its a shame because I am planning an upgrade now and MSI boards offer the best bang per buck. titchyblackcat
Could be the motherboard or it's drivers. Or Windows 11. You have to set up the BIOS (Steinberg have tips as do some some of the other companies like Presonus) Rule of thumb for me is, use gaming boards like Gigabyte or Asus ROG. These are built for audio / visual.
