Wobbly USB

Hi,

Just noticed today on my POD GO bought 2 weeks ago, that when I plug the USB Printer Cable into the Pod go, you can wiggle it from side to side.  It doesn't seem to have any issues making stable connection to pc or playing backing tracks from ipad.

Anyone else notice this?

Thanks

If you think something is loose, and if you bought new, I would advise the store you bought it from & ask them to check it and if it isn't 'right', to change it. The connection should be tight - better to get it sorted now than wait for it to potentially get worse and when sorting it might be more awkward and time-consuming.

Thanks for confirming guys.

There is around 1/4 inch wiggle of the usb cable when inserted. ( tried with a belkin and supplied line 6 cable)

So given Line 6 can be so particular about warranty periods, then I need to be particular toward what I buy of them.

Its going back.

I will get a new one as I like it, and believe I just got a duff one.

One slight niggle I have is I've noticed Helix patches are more plentiful than podgo on the customtone forum., but that's another argument

Yeah - 1/4" is a lot of wiggle. That's not usual.

As for Customtone, it's a user-populated site; Line 6 simply hosts it. They do not generally contribute patches nor provide quality control over it. Users upload what they want and describe it how they want. There are more Helix patches because there are more Helix users. You'd be arguing with other users, and presumably trying to persuade others to upload more Pod Go patches. You could even do so yourself!

This. Helix has been out way longer than Helix which came out in 2015.  Had Pod Go been out then I'm sure there would be a lot more patches. However, it's not just Custom Tone ... there are several good face book Pod Go groups that have good patches too.

Thanks guys, for the help.

I agree with what you say about availability of patches for Pod go

I used to own a Helix LT, but sold it a while back, and kick myself everyday for doing so, its a long long story why I sold it.  But this time I wanted to go lower budget, and Podgo gives me what I want.  Glad I kept my Sigma3 Audio IR's though.
