Are you using the latest version of HX Edit (3.60)?

Did you do the Factory Reset after the FW update?

Did the backup you did prior to the update restore properly?

i never had a problem with the old backups.

they worked without problems over all the years

i installed the latest version of hx edit. 3.60

after the fw update - all presets have been overwritten.
so isn't this a factory reset?

the backup i did prior to the update seems not to be in an acceptable format for the  new hx edit.

helix native is actually no longer working - opened a support ticket but i am waiting now for about a week without help.

Per the update instructions, one last Factory reset is required before you restore your backup.

It's REALLY hard to troubleshoot problems caused by HW issues on a specific machine. BUT... you may have slipped through the cracks. Bump the ticket or, if you can, call them.
