titchyblackcat
Hi At the moment I use a Helix LT which then feeds a Native Instruments KA 6 for inputting to the pc. If i were to buy Helix Native, what would be the best way of getting a clean signal from my guitar to the pc ? Would there be a preset that would do this ? or, would i plug into the native Instruments KA 6 ?
silverhead
I suggest plugging your guitar directly into your KA 6 to record the dry signal for subsequent Helix Native processing. You could also use an ‘empty’ Helix LT preset but this would involve extra A/D and D/A conversion which could afffect signal quality. There’s another alternative you didn’t mention. You could use your Helix LT as the audio interface just for recording the dry signal, which is an option with the Helix LT ASIO driver. But I expect you would not be able to notice any difference between that and my above suggestion.
