phil_m 3,601 Posted April 7, 2014 Try using this program instead: http://www.bome.com/products/sendsx Also, make sure you have your MIDI cable(s) connected in the right way. The cable from your adapter's OUT goes into the M13's IN. Also, you don't need the second cable. You only need the M13 to receive data.
elliptic 0 Posted April 8, 2014 I found it to be pretty finnicky about the midi interface. It wouldn't work at all with one of mine, worked fine with a different interface.

phil_m 3,601 Posted April 8, 2014 I should have asked what interface you're using... So what are you using as an interface?
JoeDogInKC 1 Posted April 8, 2014 Just went through this on my M13. Make sure you have a "good" USB -> Midi cable. The M-Audio Uno is a known good cable as is iConnectivity Mio. I fiddled for hours with a cheaper cable I bought from Amazon and it simply would not work. You could absolutely tell that the PC was sending Midi commands to the device, but it would never change from the "Waiting" screen. Once I picked up the Mio cable, it worked instantly with the same settings.
kernow82 1 Posted April 14, 2014 would the Rolland um-one mk2 be compatable? as they seem to be a cost effective product regards John
TheRealZap 7,337 Posted April 14, 2014 technically any midi interface should be up to the task, we're just relaying that the most hassle free and most successful one is the m-audio UNO. you can always try other ones.. i've had mixed success with the cheap 5$ ebay one... i've had much greater success with the m-audio UNO.
LeeandTanja 3 Posted June 4, 2014 I had to buy an M-Audio Uno (my original cheap midi usb interface wouldn't allow me to upload the firmware update to my M13) and it worked instantly when I followed the instructions available on the Line 6 M13 Firmware update site.
