cmscss
Hi there, couldn’t see this in the manual so sorry if it’s answered somewhere. If you use the Amp + Cab block, can you disable the cab part of the block when you use a real amp? Obviously, using separate amp and cab blocks achieves this but then you lose an effects block - right? Cheers, Ben

DunedinDragon
No. That just turns down the signal level going out. It doesn't bypass it.

I tend to use dual cabs and save them as Favorites so that I can drop them in quickly with both is not possible with amp+cab blocks. It's nice to have the amp+cab option but I'd only use it for complex patches which I never needed until now.

If you are thinking of buying a Helix Floor or LT... this is not an issue as there are 32 blocks to work with. If you are planning on buying a STOMP or STOMP XL... that's when it may be a concern. That said... I use an LT and have a Stomp as a backup... I have no problems laying out useable presets on a stomp, I just can't cram everything into one preset. cmscss
Thanks Guys, I’ve purchased a Stomp as pedalboard space is tight with more unique effects so yes, 8 blocks is painful. As-is the block using its DSP when added, not when turned-on IMHO but all good. Cheers, Ben
