Unacceptable noise from PodGo

Hi,

I'm connecting the Pod Go with the orginal power supply. As soon as connected to speaker, an unacceptable hum is heard when turning up the volume.

The noise is there even nothing is connected to the pedal, and even the pedal is off.

I tried different cables and the problem still occurs.

Please advise.

Cheers

Two considerations:

- sometimes this happens when connected to your computer via usb. Try disconnecting to test.

- sometimes there is an electrical hum due to local wiring in your environment. Try using different electrical outlets, ideally even different circuits, for your POD Go and speaker. Hum eliminator devices are commercially available.

Sometimes you can have a ground hum.  I've experienced it in several venues / outdoor festivals.  You are doing exactly what you typically do, but there's this ground hum coming out of your processor's direct out, as well as the amp.  The only reliable remedy is to connect your processor/speaker cab to different power sources.  Also try the "ground lift" on both devices before doing this.  With me, several times ground lift did absolutely nothing, and I literally had to get an extension cable from the other power source, nothing else helped.

Try your setup at another place/apartment, to see for yourself...

I discovered that when I use the Pod Go Edit from my desktop computer, I had terrible background noise. But I found that when I connected it to my laptop, there was virtually no noise. Now the laptop is my go-to Edit computer!
