[SOLVED] How to 'Sync' HX Edit & Stomp's firmware versions?

Hi there, new to HX Stomp so sorry if this is easy...

  1. After registering the HX Stomp, the site recommended Line 6 Central to manage the Stomp
  2. So I downloaded and used it to update the firmware to 3.71.0
  3. The firmware ran without issue and rebooted
  4. The Stomp displayed Firmware 3.71.0 on boot (see attached)
  5. I downloaded HX Edit which installed without issue
  6. HX Edit loads and connects to the Stomp no problem

But HX Edit now states 'Updates available' and wants to install 3.70.

So I performed a factory reset of the Stomp just incase but HX Edit keeps hassling to update the Stomp to 3.70 (see attached).

How do I get HX Edit to recognise the latest firmware? Or do I just ignore HX Edit from now on?

Any pointers much appreciated.

Cheers, Ben

Finally figured this out.

Although the messages kept stating Stomp updates, it was actually HX Edit that was out of date (as one screenshot shows). The Line6 site seems to run on a forum platform? Must've scrolled too far and downloaded an older version.

After updating everything works - very confusing.

Hi,

From the Release Notes for firmware 3.71.

Helix/HX 3.71 (released Jan 10, 2024) includes additional important bug fixes, and is recommended for all users. IMPORTANT! 3.71 does not apply to HX Edit.”

HX Edit needs to be updated, as shown in your second screen shot showing the HX Edit to v.3.70 available.

Hope this helps/makes sense.
